Barbara had no formal art training until she retired after 30 years of teaching 8th grade Language Arts in the Greenon Local School System in 2004. Since then, she has taken watercolor classes from several teachers – Sandy Kinnamon, Judy Betts, Frank Franchese, Sumi-e (Japanese ink painting) from Cyndy Jividen, as well as colored pencil and ink from Tom Kinarney. Her colored pencil art is currently on display in the FAA gallery with Tom Kinarney’s class and she has watercolors at the Elderly United office in Enon. She wishes she had a studio, and loves all mediums.
